Overview :

The Department of Research Planning and Development (RPD) at TMSS Health Sector is responsible for the overall planning and coordination of health sector activities, including research and programs. The RPD also promotes inter-sectoral partnerships and cooperation among all the projects and programs of the TMSS Health Sector.

Here are some specific tasks that the RPD is responsible:

Conducting Research Projects.
Planning and coordinating research projects.
Supervising ongoing research projects.
Conducting feasibility studies for new projects.
Promoting inter-sectoral partnerships.
Facilitating cooperation among projects and programs.
Monitoring and evaluating health sector activities.

The RPD is essential to the success of the TMSS Health Sector's programs and projects. Through strategic planning and coordination, the RPD ensures that resources are used in the most efficient and effective way possible. The RPD also plays a key role in promoting collaboration and cooperation among different projects and programs, which helps to ensure that the health sector is working together to achieve its goals.


The Research activities of RP&D :

  1. Every year RP&D plans to implement 3 major research on Public Health.
  2. Reviewing the research projects that are submitted to IRB and ERC of TMC&RCH.
  3. Offer support to other research initiatives as needed.
  4. Reviewing the articles for journals.
  5. Prepare and present scientific papers at different national and international conferences and symposiums.
  6. Participating in different global and national research networks.
  7. Research Workings Papers.

  4. External Communication and Collaborations.

Developmental Activities of RP&D:

  1. Capacity Development of the Nurses.
  2. Strengthening the capacity of the Nurse Educators
  3. Capacity Development on Research Methodology for the final year B.Sc. Nursing Students.
  4. Refreshers Training for the Hospital Staff
  5. a. Communication Skills for the front desk officers. b. Communication skills for the nurse and midwives. c. Documentation and Reporting d. Basic Health Assessment for the Allied Health Professionals.
