TMSS Community Paramedic Institute
(TCPI)

Background:

This institution was established in December 2010, approved by National Institute of Population Research and Training (NIPORT) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and affiliated by Bangladesh Nursing Council. This institution has been established with the expectation of playing an important role in providing essential service including primary health care and safe motherhood.

Goles:

Main target is increased the health related manpower in the rural area. Still quack, Kabiraz, hakims are serving treatment there. The course is developed for replacing this type of practice. Also People of this category has demand in abroad. .

Objectives:

1. Most people live in villages or rural areas. But specialist doctors or graduate doctors are not available there. Our course is designed to give them basic healthcare.
2. Community paramedics will save the people in rural areas from malpractice.
3. Community paramedics will replace the kabiraz, hakims, jhar-fook, panipora, village doctor, polli chikitsak, and other male practices.
4. Only after passing the SSC qualified skilled medical manpower will develop by completing this two-year course.
5. Community paramedics play a role in building a healthy, disease-free and healthy nation.
6. As they are coming from the rural area. So they can service the people of rural areas from their residences.
